M0.5-M2 ultra-fine micro screws have thin threads and large specific surface area. Conventional warehouse temperature & humidity fluctuation easily causes surface yellow discoloration and thread pitting oxidation. Medical and wearable device customers have strict zero-defect appearance requirements for screws, and storage rust will directly lead to full batch return. Based on GB/T10125 anti-rust standard for small metal parts, this article unifies detailed control rules of storage environment, packaging and turnover for three types of surface-treated micro screws.
| Surface Treatment Type | Constant Storage Temp(℃) | Relative Humidity RH | Max Sealed Storage Period |
| SUS316L Natural Passivation Micro Screws | 18~24 | 35%~50% | 12 Months |
| Nickel-plated Precision Micro Screws | 18~22 | 30%~45% | 9 Months |
| TC4 Titanium Alloy Micro Screws | 20~26 | 40%~55% | 18 Months |
1. Pre-storage sealing: Seal into vapor phase anti-rust bags and vacuum seal immediately after finished goods cool down to room temperature to isolate moisture; 2. Constant temperature & humidity warehouse: Independent closed storage area with dehumidifier running 24h, real-time humidity monitoring; 3. FIFO turnover: Store by production batch with validity label, re-inspect and re-passivate if expired; 4. Unpacking control: Unpacking operation only allowed in dust-free workshop, long-term air exposure outdoors is forbidden; 5. Inventory inspection: Daily appearance spot check, neutral salt spray retest for samples every 30 days.
1. Overall yellow discoloration on screw surface: Excessive warehouse humidity and damaged vapor bags; Rectify: Replace brand-new anti-rust bags and lower warehouse humidity below 45%; 2. Local pitting corrosion on threads: Excessive outdoor storage time after unpacking; Rectify: Complete assembly within 24h after unpacking, re-seal unused products; 3. Thin haze oxidation on titanium screw surface: Excessive warehouse temperature fluctuation; Rectify: Stabilize constant temperature range of warehouse, avoid day-night temperature difference over 5℃.
